“That was a spectacular dinner. A very difficult decision, but I think the slight winner for me was the ones with the two shades of red cabbage on a base of potato. I loved the imaginative use of a simple vegetable treated to give subtle and different flavours, emphasised by the colours. Eating with strangers is the best way to engage in conversation, and slowly, course by course to discover more about those people. It is also fun to see their responses as they slowly find out about each other.
